This series aims to highlight the intricate details that go into creating the vehicle that is used for the exhilarating experience of racing. Have you ever been watching sports car racing and commented that it’s a sport of simplicity? In this series, I wanted to show you just a handful of the components that make up a race car. Each of these components is essential to the vehicle's operation and gives the driver the opportunity to be the first person to cross the finish line when the checkered flag is waved.
Most people just consider the high speeds, the car itself, or even the pit crew if they're an automobile enthusiast when they think about sports car racing. However, the car starts out in a multitude of pieces before any of the observable elements can electrify a track for fans. I therefore dissected racing down to the most minute aspect of how it all starts.
